Fast Food Nation

 

 Is a book written by Eric Schlosser, in the book the author talks about how fast food came to life and where it came from, the ideas behind it and where it will end up to. the ideas of the book is to inform people about the fast food; it came from people that have no or little knowledge, and the ideas behind are to drag people; young and adults, kids and teenagers to mastermind them, make them feel like they are their best friends just to make millions. According to the author the fast food companies are using teenager as waitress because they are more attractive, easy to manipulated and they are cheap. they fast food also claimed that they are cheap, easy to get because they are in every place. Is the fast food really cheap and are the fast food companies really making a crime by using the young people and make them work for less than the labor recommended?

 

 

According to the author "Eric Schlosser" in his introduction say how the fast food has made its apparitions, surprisingly as astronomy; a periodic one into the nation and suddenly it became the most wanted. The fast food now is in every single places; in schools, the hospitals, the cornet stores, the hotels and motels, the army, the prisons even in the churches. people used to cook, got fresh herbs from the garden in the backyard; vegetables, fruits and eat fresh foods everyday instead they are using food already made. People are getting spoiled over fast food because they claimed is fast, easy to get and cheat. Without them knowing where the food came from who prepared them, did that person has got the proper training to prepare the food what kind ingredients they have used did they follow the FDA policies. People are careless when it came to fast food, here what happened in a fast food restaurant in 2010.

 

 

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 21-year-old female left a Burger King drive-through and became sick after taking a bit out of her sandwich. She went back to the store to complain, but began having seizures and was rushed to the hospital. At the same restaurant, Ernest McHenry had just sat down to eat his Burger King fish sandwich when he found a blue pill wedged in the bun when he removed it to add some salt and pepper. He immediately showed everyone what he had found. The pill turned out to be hydrocodone. Police would later arrest Woody Duclos, a Burger King employee, and charge him with poisoning food with intent to kill or injure a person. They would also arrest his co-worker, Bryant Jones, for selling him the drugs. Police believe Duclos poisoned the food because he was pissed about a recent suspension for misconduct. From my experiences the fast food is like a drug injected to people’s brain make them feel as home when they are in a fast food place. No hygienic role they eat with dirties hands and the employers sometime using the same gloves over and over.  

 

Fast food is not cheap it a fact it will be cheaper to cook at home than buy cheap food. And I think the fast food industry is targeting young people not only use them by not pay them the fairly wage. But to attract the small population which is the children. The fast food industry is a treat in our society, against our families and children that should be addressed. I have seen so many children over weight those children wouldn't eat anything than a big Mac, somehow they have seen it in TV commercial or places. I was so surprised to see fast food commercial all over pre-school this is killing us, the trick is to make them familiar with the children. And, the other thing now the fast food is doing put toys in the food packages to master mind the kids. I think the government has to have more controls over the fast food industries, limited their commercials and encourage the kids to eat healthy food to help the overweight disasters we having right now. lowers the tax on organic food, put more taxes on fast food industry feed the children fresh food instead of fast food. As they are doing right now to protect the planet against the global warming fast food is a second global warning against the nation.

 

 help  protect our children and our nation by feeding then the proper food not fast food!
